The beautiful Masseria Li Reni is located between Manduria and Avetrana, just a few kilometres from Taranto. It is an ancient manor house dating back to the 16th century, nestled like the Salento countryside. Initially inhabited by the wealthy Troiani family, the property was donated in 1674 to the monastery of San Giovanni Battista delle Benedettine di Casalinuovo. Within the order, two daughters of Giacomo Antonio Troiani, the last owner of the estate, had found refuge.
In 1866, following the ecclesiastical confiscations resulting from the Unification of Italy, Masseria Li Reni was purchased at auction by Sir James Lacaita, an English nobleman, who retained ownership until 1895. Upon his death, Masseria Li Reni passed through inheritance to his son Charles, who decided to sell it to the Selvaggi family.
The property was handed down through generations for over a century until 2015 when Francesco Selvaggi sold the complex to the Vespa family. They initiated significant restoration work, restoring Masseria Li Reni to its ancient splendour. Currently, Masseria Li Reni houses an accommodation facility and is open for exclusive receptions. It also includes a gourmet restaurant known for its traditional and genuine cuisine.

The historic Masseria Li Reni is nestled among the fields and olive groves of the Salento countryside. It is effectively a small village surrounded by a low stone wall, embellished with numerous stone merlons. Inside, there are numerous small buildings, a lush park, and a secret garden carved into the rock.
Passing through a solid arch at the entrance of Masseria Li Reni, visitors are immediately welcomed into the rustic main courtyard. Paved in typical white Apulian stone, it hosts a Mediterranean garden with minimal and modern lines. Various constructions overlook it, including a rustic pergola.
Following the romantic stone pathways winding from the courtyard, you reach different areas dedicated to event organization. Among these stands a romantic rear park, where a second paved area is located. Here, a majestic pergola gazebo is set up, serving banquets in the summer months.
Continuing along the pathways, you reach other areas of the complex, including two large pools. The first, over 70 square meters, is a modern pool directly overlooking the fields. The second is part of a more intimate and private corner of the complex.
