Selene and Mattia spent their entire wedding day at Villa Revedin, from the ceremony to the reception and couple portraits. Staying in one setting allowed me to follow the story continuously, moving between shared moments and quieter exchanges without interrupting the natural rhythm of the celebration.
Villa Revedin has a history spanning more than five centuries. Built around 1500 by the Venetian Morosini family, it later became a country residence of the Foscarini before passing to the Revedin family in 1811, who shaped its present neoclassical appearance. The estate also preserves a centuries-old park, an old icehouse and a small church.
Selene wore a minimalist gown with a fluid, clean silhouette, a high halter neckline and a narrow front opening that added character to the essential design. The smooth fabric contrasted beautifully with her long veil and white rose bouquet, creating a contemporary look with very precise lines.
For their portraits I worked within the shaded areas of the park, using foliage and darker backgrounds to frame Selene and Mattia closely. Their kiss and small gestures of affection became part of the composition themselves: an intimate way of approaching wedding reportage that keeps the attention on the couple while still revealing the atmosphere of Villa Revedin.
