The historic Masseria Pilano is located in Crispiano, a rural town in the province of Taranto. The structure is part of the Terra delle Gravine Regional Nature Park, a vast protected natural area. It is an ancient Apulian farmhouse dating back to the seventeenth century, where dairy cattle and Murgesi horses are still raised today. The property has been owned by the Motolese family since the late nineteenth century.
Originally a typical rural estate, the property has been transformed in recent times into a hospitality facility. Inside the historic seventeenth-century trulli, a folkloric farmhouse was inaugurated in 2007, consisting of numerous rooms and small apartments.
Moreover, Masseria Pilano has recently been awarded the prestigious 5 Sunflowers quality mark, an institutional recognition from the Ministry of Agricultural Policies. Thanks to this, the property is now considered the most accredited destination in Southern Italy. The venue has also been open to events and weddings for several years, boasting high-quality services.

Long used for civil ceremonies, it hosts bucolic ceremonies inside the romantic pergolas of the ancient trulli courtyard. Masseria Pilano: the structure of the venue
Masseria Pilano is a rustic complex consisting of numerous trulli, a large main house, and smaller buildings related to sheep farming. The structure is elegantly framed by centuries-old olive trees, vineyards, and extensive Mediterranean scrub forests, part of the lush Parco Naturale delle Gravine.
Upon entering, visitors are immediately welcomed by a folkloric "jazzo", a typical paved courtyard once used for sheep. Overlooking it is the splendid main house, which can be accessed through a high arch. From here, by following elegant stone paths, you can reach all the areas that make up the property.
In addition to the more rustic "jazzo," there is a romantic inner courtyard, covered in well-maintained grass. Embraced by the trulli of the complex, this hosts events and weddings during the summer. Here, up to 200 people can be accommodated, who can enjoy the area until late at night thanks to the romantic network of golden lights visible at sunset.
Through the numerous stone arches opening onto the courtyard, you then access the row of trulli and the sheepfold. Dating back to the seventeenth century and perfectly restored, these spaces can now be set up with tables and chairs, hosting banquets and buffets in case of bad weather. Masseria Pilano finally opens its doors to visitors, offering them various rooms and bedrooms to stay in. You can indeed organize a true romantic getaway here, spending your first wedding night inside the adjacent farmhouse.
