Wedding at Villa delle Rose

Villa delle Rose is one of the venues I've most appreciated during my experience as a wedding photographer in Padua. I've gathered all the most important information to help you better understand the history, the structure, and answer the most frequently asked questions about the villa. Enjoy reading!

Villa delle Rose: The History

Traveling along the provincial road connecting Torreglia to Albano Terme, at a certain point two elegant wrought-iron gates appear, behind which rises in all its stateliness the splendid wedding venue Villa delle Rose.

Today the residence has an elegant eighteenth-century appearance and is known as a romantic wedding venue, but originally this refined structure was nothing more than a simple watchtower. Belonging to the Camposampiero family, one of the most illustrious lineages of Padua, the residence was confiscated by local authorities as retaliation against this family who, far from accepting Venetian rule, were considered true enemies and condemned to exile.

Historical records tell us that the property was then assigned to a certain Flaminia, wife of nobleman Giovanni Antonio Miero. At the time, the estate included a large house, a stable, a dovecote, a cellar, and a small church, the same one where you can still celebrate your wedding today, should you decide to celebrate it in this refined reception venue.

But in 1697, after her husband's death, the noblewoman decided to sell the villa to Francesco Rosa, who proceeded with the restoration of the structure, making it the splendid eighteenth-century villa we know today. Since then, the magnificent estate has been known as Villa delle Rose, or Villa Rosa, and awaits you at any time of year to host your wedding in a dreamlike setting.

Villa delle Rose: Elegant Wedding in a Historic Residence

Villa delle Rose is the perfect location for a sumptuous and elegant wedding not only because of its impeccable structure, evocative garden, and beauty of the place, but also for the quality of services offered, which will allow you to celebrate your wedding without having to worry about anything.

The competent and helpful staff will take care of your guests from the welcome drink and will pamper them discreetly throughout the reception. The villa's internal kitchen allows for freshly prepared menus, which you can enjoy outdoors or inside the structure. If the weather permits, the staff can set up the wedding banquet in the walnut grove, evocative and romantic; otherwise, the refined frescoed halls will comfortably host all your guests, making them feel like nobles at a wedding banquet from times past.

For the reception lunch, you can count on a freshly prepared menu that can offer variations to accommodate the needs of vegetarian, vegan, or celiac guests. And for the cake cutting, prepare for a surprise: you can experience the highlight of your wedding reception at Villa delle Rose in its enchanting amphitheater, surrounded by the austere elegance of statues and columns and, of course, your loved ones.

For the wedding photo shoot, you'll be spoiled for choice: between frescoed halls and flowered pathways, your shots will be memorable. And if you want to treat yourself to an emotion, ask permission to do the shooting in the villa's private rooms: it will remain one of the most exciting memories of your wedding reception at Villa delle Rose!

Villa delle Rose: The Ideal Venue for Your Romantic Wedding

This splendid eighteenth-century residence will amaze your guests from their arrival. Past the refined wrought-iron gates, characteristic of Venetian villas, guests will be welcomed by the elegance of a park manicured in every detail, enhanced by the presence of numerous valuable statues that confer a timeless atmosphere. Lemon groves, centuries-old trees, and the inevitable rose gardens give this wedding venue in Padua that touch of class and romantic elegance that all couples seek for their wedding day.

Walking up the entrance pathway, you immediately encounter the villa, whose eighteenth-century facade instantly takes you back in time. Harmonious and elegant, the structure consists of three floors: a ground floor with the entrance door nestled between two oval windows, a noble floor, and an additional floor with square windows, above which stand the owners' coat of arms, a red rose on a golden field, and five enormous statues that contribute to the solemnity of the place.

But it is the villa's interior that will add true value to your wedding. All the rooms are expertly frescoed and preserved as they must have appeared to the Rosa family in the distant eighteenth century. Wedding receptions are held on the ground floor, where several interconnecting rooms can accommodate up to 100 guests, who certainly cannot remain indifferent to the evocative beauty of the venue.

A prestigious location that in the distant 1700s served as the setting for the study and discreet, reserved life of the Rosa family and that today can become the venue you're looking for an elegant and refined wedding.
