The location of Villa Lorenzo is one of the venues that I have most appreciated during my experience as a wedding photographer in Lake Como. Villa Lorenzo: The History
The historic Villa Lorenzo stands in Capriano di Briosco, in the province of Monza. Probably built at the end of the 18th century, it was erected on a pre-existing building from the 16th century. In its grounds, there was an ancient noble residence of great value, documented in the cadastral registers of the time.
In the seventeenth century, the complex was acquired by Antonio Medici da Seregno. He settled there permanently in 1692, transforming the villa into the administrative headquarters to manage the family's estate. During that period, the mansion was expanded and equipped with a small chapel dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows.
The real turning point for the residence came in the eighteenth century. With the death of the last direct heir of the Medici da Seregno in 1797, Villa Lorenzo passed through inheritance to the Trivulzio family. They decided to revolutionize the villa, transforming part of the existing building into a prestigious residence.
Abandoning its role as an agricultural mansion, Villa Lorenzo was then used as a summer residence. The structure has long been the summer residence of noble Milanese families and passed from father to son until 2007. After careful restoration, the complex is now open for weddings and receptions.

Villa Lorenzo: The Structure of the Venue
The historic Villa Lorenzo is located in the heart of Brianza, surrounded by cultivated fields and the gentle panorama offered by the Lombard countryside. It is a neoclassical villa in perfect condition, famous for its iconic ochre-colored facades.
Surrounded by a vast park of over 20 hectares, the structure boasts numerous centuries-old trees, including a beautiful weeping beech. Below the latter, not only can breathtaking shots be taken, but you can also celebrate your symbolic marriage.
Moving towards the complex, you then reach the well-kept garden of the mansion, where the largest summer receptions are celebrated, for a maximum of about 200 guests. Also, there is an elegant orangery, open on three sides directly to the park. In winter, this veranda can be closed and heated, becoming a dining room that can accommodate about 160 guests.
However, Villa Lorenzo makes its splendid internal salons available to the newlyweds, where both the banquet and the civil ceremony can be organized. One room in the mansion is loaned to the municipality of Briosco and is therefore suitable for legally recognized weddings.
The remaining salons on the ground floor are instead intended for setting up banquets and buffets. In a state of perfect preservation, these 19th-century style rooms overlook the park directly and can accommodate about 200 guests. Elegant and rich in neoclassical style elements, they are characterized by splendid wooden ceilings and walls in bright colors such as burgundy and lilac.
