Civil Wedding at Rocca Visconteo-Veneta, Lake Garda

Giorgia and Luca

Bride and groom walking along Rocca di Lonato’s ancient walls

Giorgia and Luca chose to celebrate their entire wedding at Rocca Visconteo-Veneta in Lonato del Garda. Their civil ceremony took place within the old fortress walls, where the historic setting gave solemnity to the vows without taking attention away from the couple’s spontaneous emotions. The venue is officially authorised to host civil weddings in its outdoor spaces.

Giorgia wore a fitted wedding dress entirely decorated with floral lace. The strapless bodice was accompanied by soft detachable sleeves, while the slender silhouette and small bow at the waist added a contemporary touch. Her long veil followed her movements naturally as she walked through the grounds of the Rocca.

Built on one of the hills of the morainic amphitheatre, the fortress overlooks the southern area of Lake Garda, the historic centre of Lonato and the Brescia plain. Its lawns, stone walls and ancient ramparts offered different perspectives for the couple portraits, especially in the warm light that outlined Giorgia and Luca as they walked together.

Since the ceremony, reception and portraits all took place within the same venue, I could follow the day continuously and without interruptions. Through my wedding reportage approach, I photographed gestures, laughter and moments of closeness as they happened, creating a natural story that preserves both the historic atmosphere of the Rocca and the emotions shared by Giorgia and Luca.

Where I work

I work as a wedding photographer across different areas of Italy, following couples who choose different places and settings, all connected by the same idea of an authentic experience.
Every location shapes the story: the light, the timing, and the way the day is lived.

If you feel this way of telling stories could be right for you, you can write to me here and tell me about your day.
